Location: Manitowoc, WI
Wage: $16.25/hr
Hours: 2p-10p or 10p-6a
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and follow all safety preventative measures and practices, including 5S+ safety guidelines
- Required to follow all quality guidelines and checks, including first piece, last piece, and in-process inspections
- Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk.
- Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately
- Must be capable of following and meeting standard work requirements
- Must be able to use computer programs to assist in recording data, making labels, printing tooling layouts, obtaining prints and specifications, printing ship-sets, etc.
- Be capable of training in precautions, quality requirements, preventative maintenance, and production practices and procedures.
- Promote positive teamwork
- Able to foster professionalism with all associates along with internal and external customers
- Continue to keep current in skills through training, classes and on the job training.
- Must be capable of setting-up and operating Monoblok Assembly Cell equipment
- Automated Bending (804, 805, 806, 807)
- Manual Bending (113, 313, 316, 317, 1220)
- Crimping (NC20, NC30, Rouselle, ATS)
- Flare Machine (Cell B)
- Packing
- Able to interact with Production and Inventory Control (P&IC), Engineering, Quality, Cell Leader, Value Stream Team Leader and other plant operations at all times.
- Must be capable of conducting and evaluating destructive testing along with visual checks so necessary adjustments to the set-up can be made to produce a quality part.
- Be able to identify, analyze, and evaluate machine and material problems
- Able to make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment and machines when necessary, including effectively trouble shooting equipment issues
- Actively participate in department team projects and activities
- Assist the department supervisor with continuous improvement efforts
- Other duties may be assigned at a later time
Requirements:
- Education required: High School diploma or GED
- Experience: Prior machine set-up experience preferred
- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Sound decision making skills
- Good math, reading, and writing skills
- Be able to exercise continuous mental, visual and audio attention
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic computer skills
- Vision: Near acuity and accommodation for reading information to perform job tasks
- Be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Requires constant alertness to surroundings and product quality with attention to detail
- Be able to use a variety of precision measuring instruments, including bevel protractor, micrometers, calipers, scales, etc.
- Exert 31 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
- Exert 11 to 30 pounds of force frequently
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
