IQ Resource Group is hiring DIRECT HIRE Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic’s on 2nd and 3rd shift in Neenah, WI. Previous experience required. Apply today or give us a call 920-738-0020.

 

Hours:

2nd shift: 1:55 pm – 10:00 pm

3rd shift: 10:00 pm – 6:00 am

 

Wage: $35 to $41 an hour (Depending on experience)

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
  • Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
  • Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs.
  • Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.
  • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
  • Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
  • Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
  • Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
  • Set up and operate machines, and adjust controls to regulate operations.
  • Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.

  • Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

  • Equipment Maintenance — Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Operation Monitoring — Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Repairing — Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
  • Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
  • Operation and Control — Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
  • Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Equipment Selection — Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
  • Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Education/ Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Maintenance Mechanic journeyman card required along with minimum three (3) years previous experience as a journeyman maintenance mechanic.
  • Will consider ten (10) years’ previous experience as a maintenance mechanic in lieu of journeyman’s card.
  • Must have their own tools up to ½” drive
  • Previous maintenance mechanic experience in a foundry preferred.
  • Experience in automatic molding and core making machines a plus
  • Must be able/ willing to work weekends.  Current openings are on second and 3rd shift.
