Location: New London, WI
Wage: $14-16/hr
Hours:
- 1st shift – 5am-1pm
- 2nd shift – 1pm-9pm
- 3rd shift 9pm-5am
Responsibilities:
- Analyze work orders and read blueprints to determine Information such as material to be used and types and sequence of operations to be used for fabrication
- Report accurate quantities, materials used and time in MD Link
- Read job specs to determine material quantity requirements
- Count number of items to be banded to verify number specified on work order
- Unwind plastic or metal banding from reel, wrap band around stack or bundle, Insert loose end of banding into strapping tool and cinch, crimp and clamp banding material with strapping tool to secure items for shipping
- Count and record number of banded bundles
- Operate Overhead crane/hoist
- Prepare and apply lumber and other reinforcement material to protect bundles during shipment or storage
- Manually stack bundled articles on pallet
- Wrap protective material around bundled product making sure it is sealed
- Weigh and label products by marking size of article, customer name, order number, address and other Identifying data on visible portion of bundle or shipping ticket
- Record information into MD Link
- Pack special arrangements of product
- Inspect material, product and containers at each step of the packaging process
- Hang product on paint line
- Mix proper chemicals to create solution for cleaning the product and hand clean the product if needed
- Transfer chains to the welding department when needed
- Move product for the painter
- Load product onto trucks for shipments
- Move product into proper storage areas

- Projects as assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-3 months related manufacturing experience and/or training
- Certification in forklift operation. The company will train, following hire, if necessary
- Must follow all safety rules and regulations regarding safety policies
- Follow safety instructions and understand standard operating procedures
- Regularly check bulletin board safety notices
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally exposed to vibration
- Noise level is usually high and ear plugs are required
- In the event of violation of the personal health safety and conduct rules, disciplinary actions will be imposed per the disciplinary process
