Location: Janesville, WI
Wage: $22-30/hr
Hours:
- 1st Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Complete Engineering Change Orders and follow through with documentation
- Revise 3D models/assemblies, 2D drawings/assemblies
- Assist with the conversion of 2D drawings to 3D models and update drawings to current drawing standards
- Enter engineering data, sizes, and specifications into spreadsheets; Excel
- Become familiar, maintain, and remain current with company-industry compliance requirements as well as safety data information
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gages, indicators, and optical comparators to measure and produce 3D models and drawings of machine components and tooling with a high degree of accuracy
- Produce 3D models and detail drawings for the manufacture or repair of machinery and tooling components from layouts, rough sketches, and verbal requests received from tool designer, engineering manager, and shop floor supervisors as assigned
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent required
- Associate Degree in Mechanical Design-Engineering Technology or similar program required
- 3-D Modeling/Design/Detailing experience. Must understand tolerance stack-up
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD software
- Working knowledge of data management software
- Working knowledge of 2D CAD software
- 2-D Design/Detailing experience
- Basic understanding of general machining procedures (turning, milling, grinding)
- Must have a mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn different mechanical and manufacturing processes
- Proficient at using programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills
- Experience with the following software: Inventor, Vault, AutoCAD-Preferred
- Knowledgeable with tooling and mechanical presses-Preferred
- Frequent reaching, bending
- Finger and hand dexterity and strength
- Occasional work in manufacturing setting, to include bending, reaching, stretching, grasping
- Frequent work in office setting, reaching, keyboarding, reading both electronic monitors and prints or drawings on paper
- Required to wear safety footwear identified as compliant with ASTM F2412, F2413
- May occasionally be required to lift up to 10 lbs
