Location: Appleton, WI
Wage: $22 an hour
Hours: 4pm- 4am (12 hour shifts & Saturdays as needed)
Position Objective: To produce a high-quality product while maintaining peak efficiency and following standard safety procedures.
Responsibilities Include:
- Follow all SOPs and SSOPs to keep consistent product quality.
- Fill out all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Leads and directs the team on the task to be met each day.
- Coach new employees on important aspects of the business (quality, safety, sanitation, productivity) in conjunction with the Production trainer & Leadership Manager.
- Follow all FDA health and OSHA safety regulations.
- Understand, apply, and maintain the application of the HACCP/HARPC plan.
- Maintain good attendance and set example for the team to do the same.
- Setup the line and team for success each day and assist with production line as necessary.
- Hit and exceed daily targets.
- Maintain good communication with the team.
- Ensure that all documentation is filled out accurately at each step of the process.
- Train new employees on the production line in conjunction with the Production trainer & Leadership Manager .
- Understand equipment and the systems involved with running the line.
- Ensure the team is working safely with equipment.
- Recognize and pull out of spec product off the line.
- Track inventory of ingredients that are necessary to your operation and notify Warehouse supervisor if low.
- Ensure that any equipment malfunction is immediately reported to maintenance.
- Ensure the area is clean and sanitized to standard at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Ensure that finished product is properly stored.
- Track attendance and breaks of employee’s in your work area.
- Print necessary labels for each day’s orders.
- Perform daily quality inspections throughout the department.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand on your feet for an entire shift.
- Exposed to food production environment and warehouse environment which may involve noise and fluctuating temperatures.
