Press Operators

• 2nd Shift: 2:00p-10:30p
• 3rd Shift: 10:00p-6:30a

Responsibilities:

• Operates equipment and performs manufacturing processes using efficient procedures to ensure meeting production standards (i.e. Running Presses, Bending, Routing, Piecing, Deburring, Stretching and contouring).
• Performs accurate fitting, adjusting, assembling, straightening or packing of parts.
• Assist with the set-up of tools, gages, and equipment and makes adjustments for meeting part specifications.
• Uses necessary measuring tools to ensure required quality standards are met. These include, but are not limited to gages, micrometers and calipers. Keep all required records, record data per work orders, and maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Communicate with team members on daily material process flow, to include safety topics and continuous improvement projects.
• Seeks assistance of lead persons to make necessary adjustments to machinery and equipment.
• Follow safety policy, i.e. Safety procedures, OSHA requirements, PPE requirements
• Follow detailed verbal and written instruction pertaining to the operation or assembly.
• May assist other operators, or with the loading and unloading of parts from lines, machines and/or trucks.

Requirements: 

• Able to read micrometers, gages and blueprints.
• Math skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Preferred: HS diploma/GED equivalent
• Preferred: Mechanical or Manufacturing experience
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Push, pull, maneuver materials up to 30 lbs.
• Frequent bending, leaning from the waist
• Frequent reaching with arms; using hands to insert, remove, manipulate items
• Standing, walking 100% of the time
• Wears steel toed shoes
