Location: Appleton, WI
Wage: $19/hour
Hours: 1am- 11am Thursday- Saturday (minimum 32 hours)
Position objective: To handle all route deliveries, raw material pickups, and finished goods warehouse deliveries while maintaining peak efficiency, ultimate customer satisfaction, all while following standard food and road safety and quality procedures.
Job Duties:
- Perform all route deliveries, raw materials pickups, and other items as listed by the Lead Driver or General Manager or his designee.
- During winter, clear all docks that have not been cleared of snow by plows before entering and loading trucks.
- Inspect and organize routes upon loading to ensure proper delivery of all products to customers. Inspect and verify all raw material haul backs or finished goods deliveries to ensure proper items and quantities are on truck before leaving facility. Correct any discrepancies before leaving dock and returning/leaving Quaker.
- Monitor the driver cabinet for special instructions on pickups or deliveries outside of the normal daily route.
- After completing the daily route, condense all stacks of returned baskets ensuring each stack has a single black basket between the floor and the red baskets. Do NOT mix the other black baskets with the red ones. Unload trucks upon return, empty all other items from the box, sweep it out, and check-in with the office before continuing to daily warehouse deliveries.
- Complete daily visual inspection of truck before operating for the day. Upon completion of the day’s work the truck should be filled with fuel and returned to the proper parking spot. At temperatures below 20F all trucks should be plugged in. The larger straight trucks should have their brakes bled before parking for the day.
- Monitor all equipment during shift for improper operation and either adjust if necessary or notify maintenance/General Manager of needed repair.
- Bring all necessary paperwork, cash, or checks to the office as completed/collected throughout the day.
- Pull all customer orders and deliver as necessary or as needed when checking off hour’s voicemail while on call.
- Remove snow from the dock as needed or necessary.
- Place all returned pallets in their proper location. Do NOT leave on the dock.
- Perform all other tasks as needed or assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have a clean driving record
- 2+ years of delivery driver experience required
