IQ Resource Group is currently recruiting for a detail-oriented individual to work as a shipping and receiving associate for a family friendly client in Manitowoc. This associate will be responsible for overseeing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate inventory records and coordinating logistics to optimize efficiency in handling gods. This is a temp-to-hire position offering great benefits upon hire.
Location: Manitowoc, WI
Wage: $17.25/hr
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm M-F
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare customer orders for shipment (Banding; Wrapping; Packaging; Boxing; palletizing; Etc.)
- Provide support to Service Technicians by helping on various mechanical and/or technical issues
- Process orders through the company’s business computer system
- Accurately receive and put away item in proper warehouse locations
- Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
- Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or item number.
- Prepare completed orders from production for shipment by palletizing, weighing, and generating shipment labels.
- Provide packaging ideas and feedback to the Team to increase performance
- Keeping a clean and orderly work station
- Practicing and following all Safety procedures
- Complete cycle counting and other inventory counting duties as needed.
- Marks identifying codes, figures, or labels on packages.
- Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments
- Other items requested by supervisor and/or management
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus, zero to six months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient computer skills, accurate typing skills and attention to detail
- Some shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required
