IQ Resource Group-Sheboygan is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance and Facilities Technician. This is a contract-to-hire position with weekly pay!
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-3:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:00 PM.
Pay: $25/hr and up determined based on experience
Primary Responsibilities:
- Diagnose (root cause analysis) and repair mechanical issues involving motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pumps, and related systems
- Must have solid understanding of “lock-out, tag-out” processes
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment using current
- system, and make necessary enhancements to system as needed
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and production support requests
- Maintain maintenance logs and document completed work
- Coordinate with pre-approved outside contractors when needed and assist during on-site service work
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years of mechanical maintenance or industrial maintenance experience
- preferred
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems; basic electrical and plumbing knowledge a plus
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
- Comfortable performing a wide variety of tasks; flexible and self-directed
- Ability to read basic mechanical drawings or manuals
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- High school diploma and/or equivalent.
Work Environment:
- This position requires the employee to be out on the manufacturing floor, including standing, twisting, and walking.
- Manufacturing facility with industrial machinery
- Exposure to noise from production machines.
- Moving mechanical parts
- May require working on different shifts depending on production needs with occasional weekend hours
- PPE Requirements: must always wear safety glasses and safety shoes on the production floor.
