Job Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating material handling equipment to move, load, unload, and stage product across multiple warehouse departments. This role supports daily production goals by maintaining efficient material flow while adhering to all safety, quality, and attendance standards.
Shift: Monday – Friday; 1st Shift 7am – 3pm
Pay: $17.50/h ($20/H when hired on)
Description of Essential Functions
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (stand-up reach and sit-down) in a safe and efficient manner
- Load, unload, move, and stage materials and finished goods across assigned departments
- Support daily production needs by assisting in Customer Shipping, Receiving, Repack, MP Shipping, and other areas as needed
- Accurately handle product to ensure proper placement, labeling visibility, and damage prevention
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S standards
- Follow all safety guidelines, warehouse procedures, and PPE requirements
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team leads, and coworkers to maintain workflow
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating a forklift (stand-up reach and sit-down)
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing tasks, priorities, and departments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attendance and reliability
- Ability to lift up to 33 lbs. and stand, walk, bend, and operate equipment for extended periods
Working Conditions
- Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures
- Requires use of material handling equipment and PPE
- Overtime may be required based on business needs
