IQ Resource Group is seeking a candidate to support or run extrusion/lamination equipment used to produce thermal laminating films and flexible packaging materials. Helpers must have a clear desire to progress to Operator.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply!
- Helpers: $20–$23 – work up to Operator in 5-7 months if performance & attendance is stellar.
- Operators: typically $25–$30 (direct experience required for Operator level; otherwise hire as Helper)
- Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (12-hour nights). Will convert to standard 8-hour 2nd or 3rd shift once fully staffed.
- Schedule note: Operations run 24/6. Overtime common while understaffed.
Company : Privately held manufacturer of premium flexible packaging and thermal laminating films. Core capabilities include extrusion coating and lamination, solventless and water-based laminations, corona treating, slitting, and sheeting. Facility is approximately 110,000+ sq ft in Darien. Products serve graphic arts, flexible packaging, industrial, and specialty markets.

Key Responsibilities Helper
- Assist Extrusion/Laminator Operator per written electronic SOPs
- Load/unload materials
- Replenish machine supplies
- Maintain clean, orderly workspace
- Follow quality and process-control procedures
- Document as required
- Alert Operator to potential defects
Operator ( opportunity to upgrade to Operator after starting as a helper is primary goal) Wage upgrade to $25 – $30 hourly
- Operate extrusion/lamination equipment per SOPs
- Perform setup, process control, efficiency tracking, cleaning, die adjustments, grade changes, and customer-specific requirements
- Direct assigned Helper
- Maintain departmental productivity and scrap standards
- Support R&D as needed
Requirements for Helper:
- Reliable attendance
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; occasional lift up to 25 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Manufacturing or machine-operation experience preferred (converting, extrusion, laminating, or similar is a plus)
- Willing to train Helpers who demonstrate desire to become Operators
- Must work the 12-hour night shift consistently
- Adhere to SQF, safety, and quality procedures
