Job Description: Operate a BLM LT-FREE laser machine, which is 5-axis laser system. This machine performs fabrication and cutting operations to cut 3D shapes such as pre-bent tubes, welded assemblies, or stamped parts. Select proper cutting program. Establish cut condition adjustments as needed. Set up machine based on cutting specifications. Troubleshoot and perform routine machine maintenance as needed. Perform dimensional inspections. Detect and report defective materials. Load equipment with raw material using an overhead crane and/or forklift to prepare the equipment to make an accurate cut.
- Wage: $22/hr
- Shift: 2nd – 2:30pm to 1:00am Monday thru Thursday
- Training: Will need to train on 1st shift for approximately 1-2 months (6am to 2:30pm Monday thru Friday).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualifications: At least 2 years of manufacturing experience. Experience operating CNC or fabrication machines. Ability to use various measuring tools (tape measure, height gauge, calipers). Must have strong comfort level using computer. Must be organized and able to read a blueprint.
- Physical Requirements: This position requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift. Will also need to lift and move items that may be up to 50 lbs.
