Advanced Maintenance Technician
Location: Darien, WI (Walworth/Rock County)
Pay: Up to $38/hour (higher pay may be available for candidates with strong PLC, mechanical, and leadership experience)
Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-3:30pm but must have flexibility
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing equipment
- Perform gearbox rebuilds and replace bearings, shafts, and gears
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Complete welding and fabrication projects as needed
- Troubleshoot 480V motor controls and Allen-Bradley PLC systems
- Respond to equipment downtime and implement effective solutions to minimize production interruptions
- Support preventative maintenance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in:
- Gearbox rebuilds
- Bearing, shaft, and gear replacement
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Welding and fabrication
- Solid troubleshooting skills with 480V motor controls and Allen-Bradley PLCs
- Ability to stay calm and solution-focused during equipment breakdowns
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with extrusion equipment (film, sheet, tube, or plastics converting)
- Leadership, training, or mentoring experience
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills
