Wage: $17.50/hr depending on experience
Hours: 7am-3pm
- Monday-Friday 7:00a-3:30p
JOB SUMMARY: Assemble table aprons and attach to tops. Load casework shipments when needed. Maintains flow in assigned work area. This is a seasonal position through September. Option to stay on as permanent, full-time employee a possibility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assembly of table aprons to top
- Attach parts and components for book trucks
- Maintain equipment in good working order (glue gun, chop saw, assembly tools, drill press, etc.)
- Builds pallets
- Follow schedules to have pallets made ahead of production
- Pack table legs as needed
- Crate product for shipping
- Load and lift wrapped product into trailers
- Repair and adjust flaws or misalignments
- Alert Supervisor of any discrepancy in specifications or measurement
- Follow assigned production schedule and reports progress to supervisor
- Other duties and projects as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School or Equivalent
- Experience: 6 months or more working in production
- Physical mobility sufficient to accommodate bending, reaching, lifting and gripping 50 lbs., possibly more with a team.
- Basic math skills to include fractions and decimals, including conversion
- Ability to read a tape measure quickly and accurately
- Have good attention to detail
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to learn quickly and desire to take on new projects
- Must present a professional image
- Team player
- Training in Lean Manufacturing preferred
- Capable of handling a fast-paced environment
