IQ Resource Group is hiring a Packaging Lead for a leading production facility in Hutchinson, MN! This is an excellent opportunity for someone with packaging experience who’s ready to take the next step into a leadership role.
Pay: $20.00/hour (DOE)
Schedule: 6:00am–6:00pm Monday-Thursday with Friday’s optional or rotating
Position Overview
The Packaging Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the packaging line, ensuring products are packaged efficiently, safely, and according to company quality standards. This role requires hands-on leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to guide and support a small team of production workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all packaging line activities to meet production goals.
- Train, motivate, and support team members to maintain efficiency and quality.
- Perform and oversee daily packaging duties and equipment operation.
- Communicate production updates and issues to supervisors and other departments.
- Review product labels, monitor quality, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ensure all safety, sanitation, and quality standards are met.
- Maintain organized work areas and oversee proper stacking and storage of finished products.
- Assist with cross-training and provide coverage as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of experience in food manufacturing or packaging.
- Prior machine operator experience required.
- Leadership or team lead experience preferred.
- Forklift certification highly desirable.
- Must have steel toe shoes.
- Ability to lift 50–55 lbs. regularly.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
