Role: Machine Operator
Type: Direct Hire
Days Shift: 6am-6pm Monday-Friday
Night Shift: 6pm-6am Monday-Friday
Salary: $19
Role Overview:
The Machine Operator is responsible for day-to-day operations within the production department. Responsible for the production area in accordance with Plant Policies and Procedures. The Machine Operator is responsible for operation of the production equipment trained on.
Responsibilities:
- Operate machine in accordance with plan policies and procedures.
- Operate machine to meets established goals while maintaining a safe work environment and quality standards.
- Will need to pass LOTO training
- Ability to efficiently work with minimum or no direct supervision.
- Responsible to meet shift production goals
- Active role in ensuring product quality.
- Operate within established standard operating procedures.
- Must be able to work overtime when required to do so.
- Ability to perform assigned tasks under time pressure.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently at the same time.
- Ability to read and fill out all paperwork.
- Maintain compliance of company policies and procedures, GMP’s, safety and quality standards, food safety measures, OSHA and other safety regulations.
- Take necessary action to eliminate delays, ensuring adherence to production schedules.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Line Lead/Manager.
Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to learn and safely operate all equipment.
- Must be able to demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure, work within deadlines and the ability to work flexibly.
- Ability to perform assigned duties in a highly disruptive environment.
- Ability to efficiently work with minimum supervision.
- Good understanding of health and safety best practices within a manufacturing environment.
- Basic math skills
- Requires flexibility with schedule including break times and working extended hours when needed. Will work an occasional weekend.
