Role: Forklift Operator
Type: Direct Hire or Temp to Hire
Shift: 6am- 6pm or 6pm to 6am Monday-Friday
Salary Range: $22.05 – $25.79
Role Overview:
We are a leading company dedicated to delivering high-quality products/services to our customers. We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Forklift Driver.
Responsibilities:
- Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, components, and finished products to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and storage racks using forklifts, ensuring that products are handled with care and in accordance with safety protocols.
- Supplying production lines with materials and removing finished goods for storage or shipment, following production schedules and instructions from supervisors.
- Performing routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment, checking for signs of damage or malfunction, and reporting any issues to maintenance or supervision.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation, including materials received, products shipped, and inventory levels, using computerized tracking systems.
- Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assisting with other tasks as needed, including general warehouse duties, inventory counting, and cleaning/maintenance activities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated proficiency in operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Previous experience as a forklift driver in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
- Knowledge of material handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
