General Labor Roles (Deburrer, Passivation, or Pressure Tester)
Position Details:
- Job Description: There are a few different roles that fall under the General Labor category. Will be working in one specific role, but the company is big on cross-training.
- Deburrer: Grinding and deburring parts and product to remove sharp edges, burrs, or rough spots left from the cutting, machining, or welding. This requires using hand-held grinders and deburring tools for long periods of time.
- Pressure Tester: Checking pipes and welds for leaks and strength by filling them with water or air/gas and applying pressure above normal operating levels to ensure they can safely hold pressure during use
- Passivation: Chemical process to remove surface contaminants from parts and pipes by using acid solutions. This involves working in the Passivation area with one other person. Will use an overhead crane to move large pipes and parts to the tanks (one for acid, then another for rinsing) and then place back on the racking when finished. Will need to wear apron, rubber boots, and face shield in this role.
Wage: $21/hr
Shift:
- 1st Shift: 6am to 2:30pm Monday thru Friday (overtime rare but if needed would be on Saturday)
- 2nd Shift: 2:30pm to 1am Monday thru Thursday ***Training on 1st shift***
Qualifications:
- This is an entry-level role. Basic experience in a manufacturing environment and basic knowledge of machine tools and equipment is preferred but not required.
- This is a team environment, so must be able to work as part of a team.
- Looking for candidates that are detail-oriented and have a focus on producing quality products.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and move about the production area throughout the shift. Lifting 25 to 30 lbs. consistently, and occasionally up to 50 lbs. (Anything over 50 lbs. would be a team lift.)
