Our client has been manufacturing flame-resistant and protective clothing for over 70 years, serving industries including firefighting, utilities, forestry, gas, electric arc, and food service. They are looking to add reliable and detail-oriented team members to their production team.
Position Overview
The Industrial Sewer will operate sewing machines to produce protective garments and clothing. This role involves reading work instructions and patterns, threading machines with the correct materials, and inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30am–3:00pm
- Pay: $17.50/hr while temporary, $18/hr upon hire
- Overtime may be available as needed, primarily during weekdays
- Occasional Saturday morning hours may be required
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines
- Read and follow work instructions and garment patterns
- Thread machines and ensure proper thread colors are used
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Previous sewing experience is helpful but not required — willing to train
- Strong attention to detail and hand dexterity
- Reliable with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to perform meticulous work consistently

Requirements
- Close-toed shoes required
- Must be able to sit for extended periods while working with hands
