IQ Resource Group is hiring a Laser Operator in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin!
Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts starting between 6:30am–8:30am
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Laser Operator responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining laser machinery used to cut and etch various grades of stainless steel sheet metal.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate laser machinery according to production specifications.
- Select and import cutting programs using SigmaNEST nesting software.
- Establish proper stop locations and adjust laser beam focal points.
- Perform accurate setups for each cutting operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with laser machinery.
- Inspect and maintain laser machines, performing required maintenance as needed.
- Detect and report defective materials or equipment issues.
- Issue materials into the ERP system.
- Perform related operations as required, including cross-training on other workstations as production demands.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Laser Operator required.
- Experience operating Mitsubishi LVP laser equipment a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and routers.
- Strong math and measurement skills; able to use hand-held measuring tools.
- Forklift and overhead crane certification preferred.
- Must be able to stay focused and productive with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands for handling materials.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, kneel, or crouch.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs frequently.
- Must have good vision and depth perception for detailed work.
