IQ Resource Group is seeking an experienced 1st shift machine operator. The machine operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining wire straightening and ring rolling machines in a manufacturing environment. This role requires mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow work instructions while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Hours: 1st shift; 6:00am to 4:00pm: Monday to Thursday
Wage: $21.00 and up BOE
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate wire straightening and ring rolling machines
- Adjust machine settings based on work orders and product requirements
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and report problems to supervision or maintenance
- Clean, lubricate, and inspect machines to ensure proper operation
- Load raw materials into machines and remove finished parts
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers and tape measure
- Record production data, inventory counts, and quality information
- Operate ride-on forklifts to move materials and finished product
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read work orders, drawings, and measurements
- Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals
- Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification
- Manufacturing or machine setup experience preferred
