IQ Resource Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and overall plant efficiency.
Pay: $27–$33/hour (based on experience)
Location: Janesville, WI
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift (flexible start time between 4:00am – 9:00am)
Hours: 40–45 hours per week
On-Call Rotation: Paid rotation, approx. 7–14 hours/week ($1/hr on-call pay; if called in, guaranteed minimum of 2 hours pay)
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair equipment used in molding and trimming operations
- Perform routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient machine operation
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, including:
- Control circuits
- Electrical schematics
- Industrial equipment and processes
- Perform preventive maintenance using a CMMS system
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve safety, uptime, and efficiency
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
- Support continuous improvement and maintenance initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability
- Solid understanding of electrical systems and diagnostics
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals
- Experience working with mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and heat exchange units
- Welding experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
