Position Summary:
This individual will be responsible for performing machine-specific tasks and ensuring the machine is running at its optimum level. This position will monitor all physical characteristics, monitor specific tests and results, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure quality material is being manufactured.
Shift: (2-2-3 schedule)- Day- 6:00am-6:00pm and Night 6:00pm-6:00am
Pay: $26-$40
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Have a self-motivated, proactive and a positive “can do” attitude
- Ability to listen to and follow instructions
- Ensure all production materials are available
- Inspect all material against customer specifications and report all discrepancies to Team Leader
- Maintain good housekeeping practices to include a clean work area, floor, tables and machines
- Have the physical ability to perform manual labor; lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds, climb, bend, etc.
- Have a good work, safety, performance and attendance record
- Insure workmanship standards are met on materials manufactured and perform quality control tests when applicable
- Be aware of machine results and take initiative to respond to poor results
- Keep records up to date and communicate fully with other team members
- Follow all safety procedures, including but not limited to: Lockout/Tagout, operating with all guards in place, using all personal protective equipment, and wearing appropriate clothing for machine operation
- Notify team leader or Supervisor of any mechanical malfunction prior to contacting maintenance support.
- Constant standing, walk and use of hands and fingers and frequent talking and hearing
- Good close distance and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and the ability to see colors and adjust focus
- All other tasks as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Actively support company initiatives through words and actions
- Good written and verbal communication skills and must be proficient in reading and writing English.
- Comply with the policies
- Be self-motivated, communicate well and have the willingness and adaptability to work under varying conditions.
- Work overtime, holidays and weekends as scheduled
- Knowledge of how to use hand tools and technical understanding
- High school diploma is preferred. Technical degree and/or demonstrated and related equivalent experience
