Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Location: Darien, WI (Walworth/Rock County)
Pay: Up to $32/hour
Shift: 4-day schedule consisting of 10–12 hour shifts, including 2 midnight shifts (some flexibility available) 2:00pm-12:00am
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing equipment
- Design, fabricate, and weld custom components such as safety rails, brackets, guards, and other production support items
- Replace bearings, shafts, gears, and other mechanical components
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Assist with basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs as needed
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and work collaboratively to restore production quickly
- Support preventative maintenance and continuous improvement efforts
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with strong mechanical aptitude
- Proven fabrication and welding experience, including the ability to design and lay out projects independently
- Experience working with bearings, shafts, gears, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Basic electrical knowledge; residential electrical experience is helpful
- Ability to remain calm and solution-focused during equipment downtime
- Reliable transportation, preferably a truck
- Clean driving and work record
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with extrusion equipment (film, sheet, tube, or plastics converting)
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills
- Ability to work a modified 4-day schedule that includes midnight rotations
