Position: Industrial Painter

Location: New London, WI

Wage: $17- $19 an hour (depending on experience)

Work Hours: 5am- 3:30pm Monday-Thursday

Job Duties:

  • Preforms pre-painting activities including power-washing parts to prepare them for painting.
  • Ensures surfaces are clean and ready for application of paint.
  • Responsible for the overall conveyor quality, which includes its functionality and acceptable appearance.
  • Operates a variety of hand tools and professional spray equipment.
  • Apply primer and topcoat using pressure pot systems, ensuring high-quality finishes on industrial components.
  • Clean and maintain paint guns and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Troubleshoot painting issues such as uneven coating, overspray, or color discrepancies, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines efficiently.
  • Maintains inter- and intradepartmental workflow by displaying positive communication, actions, and cooperation.
  • Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
  • Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
  • Driving a company vehicle may be required in the course of performing duties for this position.
  • Operates forklift to move product.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent.
  • Basic ability in mathematics, reading, and writing.
  • Works well as a productive member of a team.
  • Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
  • Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16
  • Have problem solving skills.
  • Must be willing to learn and stay on task.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Basic computer literacy skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Paint experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
