IQ Resource Group is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to produce precision sheet metal components according to specifications.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of press brake experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and a solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are required.
Pay: $17–$18/hour
Available Shifts:
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM–12:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Use precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers, to verify part dimensions.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, tooling changes, and adjustments.
- Inspect parts throughout production to ensure quality standards are met.
- Use hand tools and power tools for fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Assist with tooling setup, equipment calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve production processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of press brake operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and stamping processes.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T specifications.
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tooling setup and machine adjustments.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection procedures.
- Basic math skills for measurements and fabrication calculations.
- CNC programming and operation experience preferred.
- Crane or forklift experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
