IQ Resource Group is currently recruiting for a dedicated employee to work as a press operator for a customer in the Manitowoc area that manufactures high-quality furniture, cabinetry, and custom wood products. This 1st shift position offers exceptional room to grow for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate hydraulic and mechanical presses for laminating, shaping, or forming wood components
- Load and unload panels, veneers, laminates, or substrates into the press
- Adjust press settings (pressure, temperature, cycle time) to meet product specifications
- Monitor press cycles to ensure consistent quality and prevent defects
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Inspect finished products for quality, making adjustments as needed
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a press operator or in woodworking/manufacturing preferred but we will train motivated candidates
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
Hours:
- 6am to 2:30pm; Monday through Friday with overtime as needed daily
Wage:
- $19.00 and up Based on Experience
