Job Overview
This role focuses on managing purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring materials are delivered on time to meet production needs.
Responsibilities:
- Process purchase orders and ensure accurate pricing and timely delivery.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and material requirements.
- Coordinate order changes, including expediting, rescheduling, and cancellations.
- Build supplier relationships while monitoring quality, pricing, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate pricing and purchasing terms to reduce costs and improve value.
- Work with production and planning teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchasing plans as needed.
- Analyze supplier costs and performance to identify savings and process improvements.
- Follow company purchasing policies and supplier compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing purchase orders, suppliers, and delivery schedules.
- Ability to analyze pricing and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with inventory management and ERP/MRP systems.
- Manufacturing experience and knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or similar systems
