IQ Resource Group is Hiring – 2nd Shift Production Supervisor

We’re seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead 2nd shift operations for a growing manufacturing facility in Darien, WI. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who can balance productivity, quality, safety, and employee development.
2nd Shift Production Supervisor
Location: Darien, WI (Walworth/Rock County)
Pay: $36–$42/hour plus shift differential
Shift: 2nd Shift Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm but needs flexability
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily production operations to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals
- Supervise, coach, and develop hourly production employees
- Monitor production performance and implement solutions to improve efficiency
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and coordinate resources to minimize downtime
- Promote a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment
- Partner with maintenance, quality, and management teams to ensure smooth operations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support process optimization efforts
- Train and mentor employees while fostering long-term team development
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of production supervision experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in plastics, film, converting, packaging, or similar manufacturing operations strongly preferred
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop production teams
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of extrusion, coating, slitting, or related manufacturing processes
- Ability to remain calm and solution-focused during production challenges and equipment issues
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and clean work record
- Full availability for 2nd shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills strongly preferred
- Direct experience with extrusion, laminating, or film converting equipment
- Demonstrated success reducing downtime and improving operational efficiencies
- Experience retaining, developing, and motivating production employees
- Formal leadership, Lean Manufacturing, or safety training
