Location: Green Bay, WI
Wage: $17-18/hr
Hours: 11 pm-7 am
Responsibilities:
- Validate the production visuals against the line. All parameters through to palletizing and labeling
- Inspect product throughout the production line (marking, gluing, sealing, skewing, dimensions, etc). Perform one of the hourly QA checks at the line (not all QA checks)
- Study, evaluate, and provide feedback for the current checklists. What is essential and what doesn’t make sense
- For DQI lines view the time stamps to help determine if the hourly checks are being performed
- For spreadsheet QA lines are the entries being completed?
- Assist startups and changeovers to insure Quality is maintained
- Assist at shift start focusing on the line(s) that are the newest to the incoming shift
- First piece inspection in Laminations (for items in their time window)
- Cross-training and helping with daily floor QA tasks and customer-required testing (vacation help)
- Placing holds on items in question
- Official Hourly checks on Clearwater line or others as needed
What auditor is NOT on for:
- Not on for performing official hourly checks for most lines
- Not on for break relief
- Not on for a replacement body when short staffed
Key measurement metrics/accountability:
- Resolving QA issues before items get in the box or off the line
- Surfacing process change suggestions/improvements to help the floor and SP be successful
- Helping us get things right the first time
- Being an available resource to the shift leads at startups/changeovers
- Documenting things that are found wrong even if it’s the first case of production and it got fixed. We need the data on all things being caught to:
- Determine the cost/benefit equation of the position
- Determine where we need better instructions for the floor
- What/where our biggest issues are
