IQ Resource Group is seeking a Saw Operator for a manufacturer in the Neenah area. In this role, you’ll work with metal materials, operate production equipment, read blueprints, and help prepare parts for fabrication. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are mechanically inclined and enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment.

Position: Saw Operator

Shifts: 6am—4:30pm (Monday-Thursday)

Wage: $20- $22 an Hour

Location: Neenah, WI

Summary: This position is responsible for preparing and cutting metal materials used in the manufacturing of conveyor systems and other industrial equipment. Team members will read work orders and drawings, operate cutting equipment, and ensure materials are prepared accurately for the next stage of production.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This role works closely with other production team members to meet quality standards and production deadlines while maintaining a safe and organized work area.

Job Duties:

  • Measure, prepare, and cut various metal materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, tubing, and structural components according to production specifications and work orders.
  • Move and position long metal stock and bundled materials safely throughout the work area using proper material handling techniques.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead lifting systems, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inspect and finish cut materials by removing sharp edges and excess material to meet quality standards.
  • Provide support in other fabrication areas as needed, including operating metal-forming and processing equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety procedures and assisting with additional production tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:  

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, work instructions, and measurements
  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to accurately use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and other precision instruments
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
  • May occasionally need to climb ladders and access elevated work areas
  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds
