IQ Resource Group is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist for a manufacturing company in Cudahy, WI. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist with setup experience who enjoys working with advanced equipment, troubleshooting processes, and producing high-quality precision components.
Location: Delavan, WI
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour DOE
What You’ll Do
- Set up and adjust CNC machines for production runs
- Work with HAAS Vertical Mills, HAAS Lathes, and Okuma Lathes
- Read blueprints, work orders, and machining specifications
- Load and edit programs as needed
- Perform machine setups including tooling, feeds, speeds, and operational sequences
- Monitor production and make machine adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
- Perform precision machining operations including drilling, tapping, turning, milling, reaming, and deburring
- Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments
- Maintain tooling and insert management systems
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
- Complete production and quality documentation
- Assist with training and supporting team members as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of CNC setup experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with CNC mills and lathes
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of machining practices, tolerances, and quality requirements
- Mastercam experience is a plus
- G-Code and M-Code programming experience is a plus
- Strong math, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the shift
