IQ Resource Group is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Leader / Supervisor to join our manufacturing team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, maintaining quality and inventory accuracy, supervising employees, and ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and previous experience in a manufacturing or plastic extrusion environment.
Pay
- $55,000–$65,000 per year
Shift
- 3rd Shift 10:30pm – 7:00am
- Monday night through Friday night
Position Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate production employees during assigned shift
- Ensure production schedules and targets are met
- Maintain inventory and material accuracy using ERP/software systems
- Monitor raw material usage and production reporting
- Balance and review direct labor and WIP transactions daily
- Oversee quality control processes and ensure compliance with company standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings, reports, and work instructions
- Train, coach, and motivate employees while providing performance feedback
- Assist with continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with incoming/outgoing shift leaders and management
- Fill in on production lines as needed
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced education preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of plastic extrusion experience required
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong computer and ERP system skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring devices
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and physical evaluation
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and lifting up to 70 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders and operate forklifts after certification
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and moderate to loud environments
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
