Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

Essential Duties:

• Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas including filling and shipping customer orders, satisfying internal shipping requirements, ensuring accuracy of shipments and all supporting documentation
• Receive incoming material and route to appropriate area or personnel
• File work orders from production, packaging assemblies and receiving into finished goods, ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged and overseeing cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
• Develop and maintain departmental work instructions for all tasks.
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet shipping demands as dictated by production schedules and workflow.
• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Recommending measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department and work crew and equipment performance.
• Conferring with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments and servicing internal customers.
• Maintaining your department so that it is orderly, clean, and free from any safety hazards.
• Supervise staff by providing proper training, documentation and enforcement of company policies while maintaining a positive solution-based approach.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse supervisor or similar role
• Associate degree in transportation, logistics, business or related field or a combination of education and direct experience may be considered
• Proficiency in the use of shipping software across all carriers for both domestic and foreign shipments. This includes knowledge of customs requirements and associated documentation.
• Ability to lead others and manage multiple responsibilities at the same time
