A leading fabrication facility is seeking TIG Welders with strong stainless steel experience. Candidates should be confident in TIG/MIG welding, with exposure to Flux Core and a willingness to expand into advanced 6G techniques. This is a hands-on role supporting large-scale ASME/API pressure vessel projects in a fast-paced shop environment.
Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:00pm OR Monday-Thursday 5:00am-2:00pm and Friday 5:00am-11:00am
Pay: $18-35/hr
Location: Green Bay, WI
Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and Flux Core (FCAW) welding on stainless and high-alloy steel
- Execute open-root 6G welds (TIG root preferred)
- Work on large fabrication projects across the shop floor
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and tape measurements
- Use overhead cranes, forklifts, grinders, and standard hand tools
- Work in confined spaces and at heights as needed (manways, ladders, etc.)
Required Experience & Skills
- Extensive experience welding stainless steel and high-alloy materials (majority of work)
- Strong MIG and TIG welding background (Flux Core experience a plus)
- Ability to perform or learn 6G position welding
- Blueprint reading and strong math/measuring skills
- Solid, stable work history and strong work ethic
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years in ASME or API tank/vessel fabrication environment
- Welding diploma or technical training (preferred but not required)
- Confined space and heavy fabrication experience
