Weldmaster

This position will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and operating a seaming machine. The seaming machine rolls out fabric to be custom cut into panels to cover insulation product in buildings. The machine cuts by specified measurements, and heat welds together the fabric panels to create larger panels. The operator’s duties will include ensuring the continuous running of production, maintaining a level of efficiency and quality, and collaborating with Co-workers to achieve high level of productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up machine for operation.
• Control and adjust machine settings when necessary to improve performance.
• Test Operation of machine periodically.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance.
• Perform Quality Control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor.
• Create and maintain activity logs.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations.
• Maintain Cleanliness in work area.

Required Qualifications

• Effective communication, including speaking, writing, active listening, and taking instruction.
• Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs.
• Great time management.
• Keen attention to detail to identify maintenance, product, or operations issues.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of production procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations in different units of measure.
• Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary.)
• Forklift Experience
• Willingness to learn, improve, and be a team player.
