Join our team as a Yard Dog Driver, where you’ll play a key role in keeping our operations running safely and efficiently.
Pay: $21.00 – $26.00 per hour plus overtime
Hours: 8am-6pm
Responsibilities
- Safely operate yard trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles to move equipment and materials around the yard and warehouse
- Assist with the positioning and staging of ingredients in the manufacturing plant
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on yard vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to facilitate efficient loading, unloading, and transportation of materials.
- Follow all federal safety regulations, equipment safety procedures, and site-specific safety protocols during daily operations.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment movements, inspections, and maintenance activities to support site safety and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, heavy equipment operation, or construction utility work.
- Familiarity with federal safety regulations and equipment safety procedures.
- Ability to operate various types of heavy machinery such as Yard dog, forklifts, and pallet jacks confidently and safely.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and ensuring safety compliance across all operations.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred; relevant certifications in heavy equipment operation are a plus.
