IQ Resource Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our clients’ team in Rosemount, Minnesota!

Location: Rosemount, Minnesota
Schedule: Night shift with 3-2-2-3 schedule with rotating weekends, 37.50 – 50 per week
Compensation: $24-28 per hour

Position Summary:

The perfect candidate will support Operations by performing mechanical and, preventive maintenance repairs as well as basic electrical maintenance keeping plant machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the plant equipment including motors, rubber/steel belt conveyors systems, and production-related equipment.
  • Inspect/diagnose and maintain the functionality of production machines.
  • Examine machines to diagnose problem, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation with some support.
  • Good working knowledge of hand tools, able to inspect equipment to ensure safe operations and identifies equipment that is in need of repair.
  • Repair or assist in repair of equipment; such as cleaning, greasing and changing belts.
  • Request supplies and materials needed for repair, maintenance and fabrication.
  • Perform intermediate troubleshooting, work with limited technical guidance and may provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff.
  • Document equipment maintenance actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Communicate with Maintenance and Production teams in a clear, concise and respectful manner.
  • Contributes to equipment maintenance and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
  • Upon request, may perform additional essential functions as assigned and assist other employee when directed.

Skills

  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Capable of working with robotics/automation fabrication, welding and basic electrical.
  • Skills include welding, understanding of motors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
  • Able to operate various pieces of handheld equipment.
  • Able to solve problems, be solutions driven and make the call to make the right fix.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals of varied backgrounds.
  • Ability to work prolong periods in heat and cold as dictated by outside temperatures.
